Shuksan Meadows Playground in Bellingham, WA

We stopped by Shuksan Meadows playground located off of W. Maplewood and had a great time. They are doing construction at the Shuksan Middle School so it looked like the park was closed but it was actually fenced around it. So if you have a little one who likes to watch construction and play in the playground this might be the perfect spot.

The playground had lots to offer for different ages. My boys had fun climbing all over the big part and especially like that the overhead bars were in a circle instead of straight. The park offered a whole separate area for the swings and another separate area of a toddle park with a big purple dinosaur.

We arrived about 8:45 and never saw another person so we had the whole park to ourselves. Compared to the other parks we have stopped by I think that this one has been a little abused but seemed very well kept and it was nice that it had a couple of tables to sit at. The other part that I really thought was great was that each area was completely separate and had a small wall around it so if you are in the Northwest neighborhood be sure to stop and stretch your legs at this fun little park.
