Roosevelt Park Bellingham Washington

Roosevelt Park is located off of busy Alabama at the end of a dead end street. The first time we found it we couldn't believe how futuristic it looked. My boys think it is a really cool playground. I felt like it was a "Extreme" playground because we spent most of our time trying to figure out what to do with it. Which was half the fun. It is not your traditional playground but there is a lot to climb, scale, ride, and turn. There is a huge spinning circle that you can ride or walk on that test your balance and agility. So if you have some young explorers with tons of energy then this is your park.

There are three parts to the playground area. The large playground, the swing set and the toddler playground. The toddler playground seems to be a bit more on the traditional side. The park does have some picnic tables, a huge field with basketball courts and a skate ramp on the other side. There is also a very big hill in between the playgrounds. There is a great walkway around the whole area that would be perfect for bikes, skateboards or strollers. We visited first thing in the morning and it was very hot. So if you plan to visit be prepared to be in direct sunlight because there wasn't any shade to be found. I would think this playground would be good for all ages and it never seems to be to busy. Here our Mason and Cody posing on the skate ramp.

Hi Molly,
That playground is in Elizabeth Park in the Columbia neighborhood in B'ham. It's a good one for 2.5 and up, but there's plenty of grass to play/run around on, too.

Enjoy!
